Troy Cockrum is the Director of Innovative Teaching for a K-8 school in Indianapolis. Before that, he was a Middle School English teacher.
He is the author of “Flipping Your English Class to Reach All Learners” and specializes in incorporating technology in the classroom. Cockrum has been a Google Certified Innovator since 2011. In 2013, he was a recipient of the Jacobs Educator Award from Indiana University recognizing innovative ways to use inquiry and technology in the classroom. In 2015, he spent time in space as part of NASA’s Airborne Astronomy Ambassador Program.
