Cathy Moore

Dean, School of Education

Dr. Cathy Moore
Dr. Moore was the charter Dean of the School of Education at Georgia Gwinnett College, founded in 2006 and accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 2009. The School of Education and the Teacher Education Program (TEP) teams with the Gwinnett County School System in Georgia. The TEP at GGC is comprised of awesome faculty who are innovative and work closely with their students both inside and outside of the classroom. Since the Teacher Education Program (TEP) students in Mathematics earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Teacher Education, Dr. Moore works closely with faculty in the Mathematics Discipline. Because of the amazing results of using the Flipped Classroom Method, several mathematics faculty at GGC flip their classroom and mathematics TEP students are in those classrooms. The next step in flipping the classroom, which is a current pedagogical initiative at GGC, is to educate our teacher education students and to be at the forefront of the flipped classroom endeavor; the next generation.
