Sharon Geyer is a chemistry teacher at Pomfret School, a co-ed boarding school in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut. She works closely with other science teachers at the school to implement a flipped classroom in both chemistry and physics. Although this is her first year with a flipped classroom, she has been implementing a paperless classroom and teaching chemistry with Mathematica for five of her sixteen years in science education. Sharon earned a M.A. in chemistry from Bryn Mawr College, a Masters of Teaching and B.A. in chemistry from the University of Virginia. She is married to a physics teacher and the mother of three boys, she enjoys all forms of fiber arts, and she can often be found training for the next triathlon.
