Ashland Middle School
French Teacher
Ashland, Massachusetts
Ellen Dill has been teaching for 16 years and is a French/World Language Teacher at Ashland Middle School, where she has been teaching for 7 years, and has been flipping for two and a half years. She has a BA from Mt. Holyoke College and a Masters in Education from the University of New England. She performed action research regarding Flipped Teaching to determine the efficacy of this teaching strategy, and found that this was very effective when combined with Project Based Learning. Ms. Dill has been fortunate to receive district support and support from the Ashland Education Foundation, Inc. in order to purchase many materials that have made technology available to flip her classroom and to have students use technology in their learning as well as classroom management.
