Amanda teaches in rural Minnesota and has been using aspects of flipped learning in her high school Biology classes for five years. Her goal is to guide students in developing the skills and attitudes of curious, life-long learners. Hassan is a middle school life science teacher in New York. He began flipping at the end of the '12-'13 school year. He chronicles his experiences with flipped learning at wilsonsflippedlab.blogspot.com. Despite living thousands of miles apart, Amanda and Hassan co-moderate the weekly Twitter chat #BioChat and are using social media to support each other in their SBL journey.
